Etruscan, 8th - 5th Centuries B.C.
Inspired by jewellery found in Etruscan tombs, this earrings consists of semi-precious stones and annular gold bead spacers. The Etruscan civilization, which flourished in central Italy for more than 2.400 years ago, left behind a language still not fully understood, as well as art and architecture.
Gold jewellery excavated in the early 19th century was in great demand among ladies of the European courts and was often worn to state functions.
